One good thing about seeing your Veins, it makes life easy in hospital if they need to take blood. I wish mine were like yours, they on occasions need to try several times to fill the syringe.
You have nothing to worry about, we are all different some peoples veins show up markedly while another person may not show where their veins are
If you are warm the veins will show more pronounced, if cold they will be smaller and less noticable.
Stop worrying, you are fine

The thing is it’s like I can feel they are there and they are painful and bulging out of my skin. It’s horrible.
Anxiety sucks

Yes Anxiety is really nasty we all suffer. We feel for eachother
Yes try and forget they are there, these veins on the back of the hand can be more noticable when the hands are slim and long, sometimes they begin to show more as we also get older. It also seems to be genetic as well. The Nurse in my GP Surgery hates it when I enter the room, sometimes if it is a nurse who has had problems with me disappears and gets someone who can get my bloods without problems. My old Specialist would send me back to Practice to get my family doctor to take the tests He had Specialised in Hematology so He was able to get blood out of an orange
We are all different, Hazel can see Her veins and She has no problems when they do blood tests on her. My new practice has worked out the place to go and they get bloods from their, I had bloods taken on Tuesday and the nurse was new, She had stabbed me in both arms before she worked it out. I was getting blood because they think I may be in early stage Diabetes. It never stops.
If you are looking for the veins, you must be pressing on the back of your hand or the crook of your elbow. This may irritate the area around the vein. Personally I would just forget about it. However next time you visit your GP, tell Him about it, I feel he will say the same

Thanks sometimes get bothered about it..not panicked. Didn't know about this warmness cold thing. I comfort my panicky thought by thinking on very prominent veins body builders! X

My veins are always visible but they bulge out every now and then and like today have been aching and hurting and just feel really weird. I always think something is happening to me.
Would be great to hear what your doctor says, I’m going back this week. Good luck.

Yes, yes, and yes!!! OMG!!! It is one of the worst feelings in the world and I have been told either I'm imagining it, which I am most definitely not or that it is just anxiety. I feel it in all my "veins" from time to time, usually in my arms but sometimes in the sides of my neck where your jugular veins are. I've had every cardiac test known and everything comes back fine but the symptoms I get are horrible. I guess it is just another "perk" of having anxiety. Best of Luck!!!

The GP and the hospital are not kidding you on, the arteries in your neck, the Jugular is one of the main veins in your body. The vein needs vast amount of blood to control your body and help you loose your brain, even the head is very much gorged in blood. Because you feel these things does not mean you or your health is in any form of danger. These veins and arteries have to be there if they were not you would not be here.Every one has these pipes they are part of your plumbing, and the location of each show themselves in different ways depending on the build of the person. The arteries in the neck are best left alone and it can be very normal to see or feel them, Be thankful you have them and you know they are performing essential service for your body. I agree with the GP and hospital specialist you are ok, You are normal.
I do understand how things can effect you, believe me when I say if they thought something was wrong you would be in a hospital OR..
Thank the Lord you have them You are normal, leave them alone and they will continue doing their job for many decades to come.
Please trust your health professionals
