Bulging disc advice

Posted , 2 users are following.

I have been diagnosed with a bulging disc which is irritating my sciatic nerve. I am waiting to go to hospital to see what my ongoing care has to be. I take co-codamol at night along with amitriptyline. Unfortunately they dont work at all. Has anyone got any advice as how I could deal with this pain while waiting to see the doctor? It has affected my life now as I struggle to work, walk, exercise or clean.

Have you tried heat therapy? or even cold therapy? A hot compress on your back when laying down may help you relax muscles.Dont make it so hot you burn the skin. This condition can be so painful and you need to try and relax the muscles in the area where the disc is bulging.

Are you doing exercises approved for this condition? An osteopath may help in the short term.
