Bulkimed

I had a bulkamid procedure mid September 2019. To date, mid October i have had no improvement. On the contrary, I feel my incontinence has worsened to a completely unacceptable level. my follow up appointment with my surgeon has been cancelled from end of November and rescheduled for end of February 2020! I feel this is a long time to wait and quite worried about my current symptoms, without seeing my consultant.
I'd like to ask....has anyone else had this procedure with a similar outcome to me?
I spoke to my GP who advised me that she'd had similar feedback from another patient, so I'm wondering just how common is this as an outcome?
Tank you in advance of any replies.

HI
You have not given any details of your history but unless you have already done so , I would strongly advise you to see a Physiotherapist who specialises in Continence problems. Trish

It seems quite common, if your doctor knows another patient that said the same thing. Its rare if not many had heard about it. Perhaps you can get a second opinion.

Its possible that either surgery works, or it doesnt or makes things better or makes things worse. The best thing to do is get a checkup in a surgery or a GP and let them evaluate the next steps. Its not very common for a surgery to make things worse, but it happens from time to time.
