Bullying by boss at work? Can't seem to speak to him from feeling intimidated?

Hey guys

I hope all is well.

Recently I have taken a part time job while studying as a labourer doing site work. Trouble is it seems as though no matter what I do my manager always puts me down and has an awful behaviour towards me.

The thing I noticed with this job too is that it's very stop/start so sometimes it might look as though I am not doing much. But then when I do work he criticises it all the time.

The thing I'm worried about is because of this, I get afraid of speaking to him and I don't know how to break out of it?

Hopefully you will understand the sort of person I'm talking about here.

Hey there, sorry to hear that you're having a hard time. You bosses behavior is totally unacceptable. It's a shame that you don't feel you could confront him about this issue. I think if his bad behaviour continues and you don't say anything, there a danger that it could erode your self-esteem and you don't want that! Could you speak to anyone else above him? I do think this issue needs to be resolved. If only for the sake of your sanity! All men are equal. No one has the right to disrespect you. DONNA xxx

If your in the UK you can report him for his behaviour whether your part time or full time, I have to be John blunt the way I always am, just make sure that your interpretation of him is not coloured by your anxiety issues, step back and watch him with others, it could just be he's an Ar## hole and treats everyone the same.

If that's not the case you can step forward and either politely ask him if he has a problem with you and if so tell him you need to know what it is too be able to put it right, if your not happy doing that you need to go above him, if he's the owner/boss then your choice is limited.

Please don't be offended by my response it's not personal, good luck
