Bump beside medial malleolus bone - what is it?

Posted , 1 user is following.

Hi,

I play hockey and about 5 to 8 weeks ago I think I got hit on my left shin just above and to the left of my medial malleolus bone. It didnt hurt at the time, but it felt tender days after so I just assumed it was bruised but I cant recall if it turned black.

Since then I can feel a ridged lump in that area, it feels like I can pinch each side of the area and that it slightly moves. It is still very tender to touch. I have been using ice and resting it but nothing has really changed. I can still run on it, but its just tender to touch and I am just conscious of the lump.

Does any know what it is or what should I do. Thank you
