I have a lump or bump outside of my vagina, it's on the right side lower region. 2nd time this has occurred, I get cold sores (since I was little) so am prescribed generic valtrex. Took that last time n didn't finish the dose cuz it went away.I've poked n examined it, it hurts but its not like the pictures I've seen of warts n herpes on my internet searches. Heard about cysts n thought, Maybe??? I'm scared s**tless what is a bartholins cyst, how do you get it, do i have it how do i know. If i do what do i do?? Ugh help

try going to ob-gynecologist. they can help you with your problem. but if you want to try on your own try to search the effective way to get rid of the lump. try to search also about serrapeptase. it was once worked for me.

    Hi Tara,

A Bartholin Cyst occurs when the Bartholin gland gets clogged and then begins to get infected.  As you can see from this forum this unfortunately a common problem many women have.  I have had approximately 8 over the last year and a half.  The last one being a double (one on each side) in April.  I was doing everything on this site, sitz baths, hot compress, phoebe's cure and nothing was helping.  Very frustrating.  Then I had a family emergency and was unable to do any of the above for approximately 3-4 weeks.  So I started taking Silicea 30 (I got it from Amazon).  They began to go away.  As of now, the right one is completely gone and the left one is still there but it is manageable and does not hurt very much.  I honestly do not know if the Silicea is what actually helped or not but I am still taking it in hopes that it is!  Also, (warning, TMI coming) both sides are "open" so I am able to squeeze them to help drain and keep them from getting clogged.  It seems if I do this at least once a day everything is good.  If I don't, the left one will start to get itchy and irritated, but if I then go squeeze and clean it it gets better.

I hope this helps.  They are definitely frustrating.  Reading about what helps others and discussing this issue with others that understand how painful and awful this is has helped me.
