Bumped up for Aguablation surgery I'M DONE

It was supposed to be this Wednesday and I got bumped up to Monday. Surgery is complete and I'm back at home. I finally found out how large my prostate was (50cc) and I'm not clear on the sizing process. I timed the surgery and it took a little over 1 hour. No real pain to speak of and my urine cleared to a clear pink in 12 hours. A few small blood clots had to be cleaned from the catheter and no bladder spasms that I know of. The catheter is more than a hassle, it's much better when a nurse is handling all the work. I don't know if the equipment and personnel used for an Aguablation surgery is the same but I got introduced to the crew my Urologist uses. Everyone there you would expect to be there except for the two robotic computer techs and they didn't say anything. I don't know exactly what part they play during the surgery except for the obvious and that wasn't so obvious. Anyway, no real big deal compared to some of the other discussions I've read here. I'd say my procedure was boring and routine. My Urologist had already done 2 procedures before mine. He came in the O.R. prep area all grins saying how he was all warmed up and ready to go. A confidence builder for sure but when the anesthesiologist came in he said my doctor did his Aguablation and he couldn't be happier. He said it changed his life. Next thing you know, I was in the recovery room. Like I said, kinda boring and uneventful. My Urologist requires a catheter for 1 week after the surgery and I'm stuck dragging that debacle around the house. I'll update in a week or so but I'm not expecting anything different than I've already read. Ciao.
