Bumps in opening of vagina

Posted , 8 users are following.

Two weeks ago I had unprotected oral sex/ fingering with a woman i just met. I have a boyfriend and we have sex on a regular basis, no other partners for the past five years. no other previous problems down there. The other day i noticed a diaper rash type thing appear on my butt and razor burn like bumps appear on the sides of my vulvar area. i don't typically get razor burn or any type of rash so i thought i may have been allergic to something i used. those seem to be disappearing but then i noticed the bumps shown in the picture inside my vagina along with a kind of funny smell. the bumps kind of hurt and they itch. please help! I'm going to get tested soon i am just worried.

I have bumps exactly like that, have had them for years. Got them checked by a consultant dermatologist who specialises in vulva issues and she said they a perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. They are very common but women often dont notice them until they start checking themselves a lot because of some other issue (yeast infections for me, that rash for you). They are called vestibular papillomatosis and are harmless and cannot be caught or spread by sexual intercourse. They can sometimes itch or be uncomfortable, but that is usually due to another underlying infection.

thinking back, i don't think she washed her hands before touching me down there. also a toy was used on me that may or may not have been clean. so probably not very hygienic.

Ewwww. I understand about the passion of the moment but anytime my hubby didnt wash his hands ... with feminine intimate area wash ... i would get a yeast infection. I am very sensitive - any after shave, mouthwash, soap (wrong ph) or any scented product getting on their either burns me or gives me thrush.

I mean it's possible that she did, it just happened so fast. I'm not typically sensitive down there to anything. but do you think it's an STI that's irritating me?

I doubt it is an STI, although I know it is still possible for such things to pass from female to female. Did she touch herself as well as you? Probably best that you are getting checked.

no, not that i can recall. I'll be getting checked just to be safe.

It could be vestibular papillomatosis. You can try to apply honey, calamine cream, mild acidic herbs, Epsom salts or dilute lemon juice. You can also apply some topical solutions such as Vidarox cream, podofilox and podophyllin to bring relief.
