Bunion operation

I had a bunion operation on 28/4/2017 and my foot gets exstreemily hot, and have to put cold pack on or put it in hot water, I was told my body is rejecting the screws 

Is this right as I’m booked to have them out very soon Shirley

    Oh my poor you. 

    Did you do one foot?  Was it the disolving screws or metal?  Do you know if they did titanium ?  Any other symptoms?

      No I don’t know operation was excellent no pain but 7months into it the heat started god I’ve never had anything like it I was told my body is rejecting screws, Tuesday I have them out and I’m holding my breath😩

      I don’t know what they put in but I’m going to find out.(important) after boot is off bend big toe and others if they were touched stand up and put ball of foot to floor and put weight on it, after doing this it starts to feel blood great 😄

    Oh my Shirley hope it goes well for you x I’m only 7 weeks in this Tuesday x I cannot put shoe on yet but they want me too next Tuesday pins and needles in my foot x and still swollen on big toe x I hope all goes well for x good luck

      My big toe and down the side are numb& tingling I find if I massage creams in it helps cold water or ice pack and keep it up but you should be try your weight on ball of foot keep massaging cream in

    I have those pins and needles numb feeling too. 

    Do you have an allergy to nickel?  I know I have to wear earrings without nickle or my ears bleed.  In my case they used dissolving plugs but had titanium screws ready just in case. 

    I bet you will feel better as soon as they are out.  Where are you?  Do you see an orthopedic surgeon in a hospital?

    Oh Shirley, I am so sorry you are having these difficulties.  Thank you for sharing with us so we know what to watch for as well.  I am so glad you are getting them removed on Tuesday!  Hang in there!!!

      So far only mild burning they say that’s normal and it will go, movement is much better, stitches hopefully come out this week.They told me only the best screws where put in.I have to get foot xrayed again before I see him on the 17 th April

      Hope it goes well x iv been walking a bit but it feels funny x pins and needles and big toe still numb x but I’m only 8 weeks in xx I’m in England ?
