Bunion Surgery

Posted , 1 user is following.

I am 5 weeks post opp with buion removal, big toe fusion and hammer toe correction of my 2nd toe. I understood that I would have less use of my big toe due to fusion ...I am scared and worried I will not be able to bend or have much use of my 2nd toe ...i have a small cloth splint I wear during the day . My Dr.told me at my last visit to start wearing my shoe 1 hour a day and increase an hour each day ...foot is still to swollen for my shoe. I am due to return to work on the 24th...can anyone tell me how long before I can actually wear my shoe and will I ever be able to bend my 2nd toe and walk normal again.
