I am having bunion surgery with fusion 9/5/18. My questions are:
has anyone ever had screws pop threw the skin? Swelling in ankle how long?
I had surgery 3 years ago on my ankle (same foot) & II still have minor swelling. My surgeron states I will but in time it will pass but he said that about ankle as well. Thanks in advance!

I just had surgery 3 weeks ago. I have not had any problems with the screws. Only problem I'm having is still swelling in my big toe and some numbness. I am still in a cast, and I will be getting a boot in 3 more weeks. Hope this helps you.
