buprenorphine does work

Posted , 4 users are following.

Ive been on the 10 mg patches now for about a month. I was given these as all other painkillers failed to stop the pain in my shoulder(wich is at the moment 3 operations in to fixing a grade 3 separation of the ac joint).

Ive been given most other painkillers and these did not much good. However after using these patches i have been the most pain free in ages.

To some people the patches may cause the desired side effects, but for me i cant recommend them enough.

I had a real feel sorry for myself moment on Fbook last night complaining about the on going (2 yrs) severe pain in both hands, 3 Ops later CTunnel on  both & Spinal Nerve release)  to no avail sad. Some people have highly recommended Bureneorphine I'm going to see my GP on Monday in the hope he will prescribe these for me to try as  I'm not sure how long before I see the next Specialist at the hospital. Were yours prescribed by your GP?

Hi Sandra I have just been prescribed butrans 10mcg patches and have applied my first one tonight. I too have had so many different painkillers that no longer work for me so fingers crossed that this will give me some pain relief. These were prescribed to by by my GP however they had previously been prescribed to me by a consultant about 2 years ago. I hope this helps.

Hi, you posted over a year ago and if still able to respond I wonder how you got on with the patches and if you are still on them or weaned off?  Like you I have seen all sorts of warning signs about using them and about to start using them but dont want to add further problems.  How is your shoulder now?
