I haven't andy but have worked alongside nurses and doctors who prescribe these drugs. The doctor in charge of the patients care would write a letter (on the practice notepaper) stating it is prescribed. When he signed it he put his qualifications and more importantly his GMC number. Then if the patient is stopped at customs there was evidence it is prescribed legally. Hope that helps.

    Hi

because it's a controlled drug you need to get in touch with the home office well before you travel as the country you're going to may have different rules to the UK, so it will affect you taking it out and then also bringing it back. Have a look on nhs choices website. Plus, your doctor will need to issue a statement saying it is legally prescribed, as previous poster said.
