burning aching feet

Both of my feet have been giving me pain day and night with burning, tingling, numbness and general aching. I am at the end of my tether. I know I have referred nerve pain from a microdysectomy 6 years ago and I have recently been told I have osteoarthritis. I am 55yo.
It bothers me as now I find it difficult to walk on my feet at times. This has started quite suddenly and I'm at a loss what to do. Should I start with a podiatrist? If anyone hs the same issue I'd appreciate discussing with you. THANKS !!

Hi tracey I have had this constant issue for 2 years , continued 24/7 burning feeling on balls of my feet , if I stand for 5 mins or walk for 5 mins or longer I have awful unbearable pain, I sympathise with you I to am at end of my tether to the point if we're I cry I am 53 this year, I have had bunion and fusion pip surgery if the 2nd toe in may and Dec 2016 left and right foot which has nothing to do with this issue but have had many X-rays and scans, which has also shown I have 2 Morton neuromas in my right foot and 1 Morton neuroma in the left foot which the surgeon is convinced is causing the burning and pain in my both feet, I have to go back in may to see him as he said he can't operate in them
Untill my feet have had time to recover from the two bj ion and hammer toe surgerys inhavd had, I must say though that it is just s burning feeling I have my feet are not actually hot or no tingling if numbness, they just hurt and cause me pain,
I am at the end of my tether and it's getting me down now I have had it that long , I also have osteoarthritis in my feet so maybe that is part of the issue to, as the surgeon said " there is alot going on with my feet"
I hope you get some relief soon and find out a way of dealing with the pain as I know how awful it is xx

Really appreciate your reply Angela.
You sound like you've really got some issues going on there you poor thing.
In an odd way it's a comfort to know we aren't on our own.
I'm convinced mine is neuropathic and Im determined to do my best to relieve it somehow. xx

Hi Jeannette. Thanks for your reply. Every answer helps.
I have got gel inserts and good runners, work shoes and sandals. You may be right though.....may need to go to a podiatrist and get special orthotics.
I find if I put cold on soles of my feet it relieves it but I can't walk around with ice packs on my feet all day and all night 🙄
Some days it's worse than others and I'm just going to have to deal with it positively as I dont want it dragging me down.
