hi there, is it down the centre ie oesophagus? or across the chest? does anything relieve it? and does it happen after eating or on empty stomach? oh and are you on meds? ive started having heartburn, reflux and generally poor digestion in menopause and sometimes get the burn in top centre of chest to the sternum. chamonile tea, ginger in hot water and drinking plenty of water helps.

it comes on suddenly across the very top of my chest, it goes away quickly about 1 to 2 minutes. i noticed it earlier but havent eaten since breakfast. never really experienced heart burn so kind of scary or not sure if its heart related

sounds like acid reflux, youre stomach acid's got nothing to work on. try and eat something plain. otherwise are you feeling ok? do you suffer from anxiety or taken any meds today on an empty stomach?

    Hi there,

I noticed heartburn regularly in my 40s. Cut out dairy and gluten which helps but also having bed on slight angle (put a few books under posts at head of bed) helps. Don't get it anymore. Sometimes mine was subtle and longer lasting and sometimes it burned like yours for short time. Still worth getting checked out if it gets worse. I had scope done and all was fine.
