Burning chest

hi. I'm 5 and a but weeks into citalopram. I keep getting a burning chest feeling. it causes me to go into panic mode. is this a side effect of citalopram? any tips on how to help?

    hi yes this is a common side effect. just breathe through it - it doesnt last very long if you dont panic . it should ease off soon x

    tamsin is right x its definitely a side effect and anxiety can cause it too x I get it aswell x it will go away.

    easier said than done but like tamsin said try to ignore it and it wont last nearly as long x

    I remember that I got that too. It will soon pass. Just do some deep breathing or meditation to help relax you if you can.
