Hi all,

So basically this burning started about a mouth ago, it was quite stingy and I've had thrush before so

i self treated with over the counter canistan cream. It took most of burning away but still felt a little something so visited my doctor.

He agreed i done the correct thing (probably balantis) and prescribed me canistan hc (steroid version) as he said it might need a little more kick to get rid of what remains. Two weeks later i still have a minor burning feeling.

Annoyed at that its going on and on, i took above pic by zooming in as close as possible to were i can feel the minor prickly feeling now i feel so so scared after seeing whats there.

Going back tomorrow and i literally feel sick with worry on top of feel depressed about it all month

Because of the location of what you show in the photos you are going to need oral medication from the doctor - you may have different sources of problems, so the felling of pain may be caused by a urine or UTI for example

      Thank you for your reply.

I have been to my doctor who has helped a lot in settling me down from the paniced state i was in when i posted this.

Its waiting game time now. Blood test, swabs and urine all sent to the lab for testing. Doxycycline teva w/ibuprofen prescribed today.

      Will post outcome if any.

Thanks for the update - look forward to further update, I would suggest giving it 4 to 6 weeks at least to see how you are getting on then .....

    Updates & Questions

After taking a weeks Doxycycline teva 100mg some results came back. The lab found E.coli cultures in my urine that grew under mircoscope. This meant another week on a new antibiotic macroBID 100mg, which is just coming to an end. The sore is gone and intensity of the pain feels 75-80% better now.

    Question 1:

Can a UTI really affect the penis, shaft tip and ureata like this?

    Question 2:

Is it normal to feel a phantom like throbbing in the penis glans (use to be burning) after a UTI diagnosis and treatment (5 days on antibiotics).

    Question 3:

Is it normal for a UTI to affect sex when a UTI is found in urine?

Almost feels like it's a healing bruise kinda feeling (with no bruise) to me but doctor said urine had white blood cells and cultures grew. I'm afraid there's an unknown injury that led to Infection. Has anyone ever experienced penis issues with UTI?

hi . i also had an e. coli infection which is recurring.

mine was located in the prostate. it would lead to symptoms also in urethra which to which you described. the prostate wraps around the urethra and so it easily spreads there

it can be hard to shift the e. coli. a few weeks after antibiotics my symptoms will come back as e. coli again colonises.

once it spread to my epididimis on left testicle. no fun! ended up on a drip antibiotic in emeregncy room during covid pandemic.

consider trying Dmannose if your issue is with e. coli. this is a simple sugar that happens to bind e. coli and hence inhibits its ability to adhere to the uninary tract wall. hence more easily flushes out with urination. good for prevention and symptom relief.
