Burning sensation

Afternoon all hippies and hippies to beeek

Went for a little walk, came back and now have a burning sensation in my operated leg, not on my incision, but my thigh.

Ive tried an ice pack and currently resting it, but I'm assuming it's my muscles knitting together.

Im 4 weeks post op today.

Maybe, but I only walked 300 yards! I walked a mile last week and I was fine... But you could be right

I am 7 weeks on and if I walk/stand for too long or if I work a little in the garden I end up with pain in my leg...I have to rest, go to bed, have a good sleep.

This is normal, I think, it's a big operation we went through!

    Hi Linzi

Like you, I went for my usual length walk last night and came back with pain

    in my thigh

Had to go to bed and I had had a good day up till then

Trouble is we don't know we've overstepped the limit till we have actually overstepped it - then it's too late

    Baby steps not giant strides!

Sounds like it's muscular! sounds like it's muscular, I had the same and told my surgeon and he said it's just the muscles........using them again !!

    Hi Linzi.

Same here ... still, even at 17 weeks post-op .. I know that my operated right leg has to work so much harder because my lef hip is so painful ...

I think it is normal - itseems to just come and go - maybe you tried to keep your posture straight and made sure you were walking correctly ,,,maybe unbalanced ... who knows ... or, as someone recently told me, I am now part of the ones who can feel the rain coming rolleyes - lucky me, living in Holland --- we have this hardware put in there - definitely still a lot of knitting to do ... maybe a nice massage with some muscle-pain reliever cream ? It helps me when I do it ..

    Have a good night -

    warm hug
