Burning sensation in scar from tkr 2 months ago

My incision has recently began to have painful burning. I'm using vitamin e oil twice a day, but it hasn't really helped much.

    Hi Toni

    I have had this and was told by my Physio therapist that it is all the nerve endings waking up.  I use ivecwhen this happens which really helps.

    Nerve damage and healing. Talk to your primary care Dr. They may want to give you a couple weeks supply of gabepentin or lyrics. Both specifically for nerve damage.

    Hi. I had that and they put me on a tablet called gabapentine along with shortec the pain drifted away slowly but it was manageable. Max

    I also had this. Nerve endings coming back together. Normal thing to happen. Some times it feels like electric shocks. Goes away after time. Good luck but don’t panic.

    I use Vaseline intensive care Lotion and it helps a lot. You need to desesatise (hope I spelled that corretly). Use a smooth round object like an ice cream scoop and rub the knee as much and lots of pressure as you can stand. That actually helps with that stabbing pain. Hope u feel better
