So recently I've been having sensation of burning on my thighs, but when I touch them with my hands they feel fine. So wondering if this could be a symptom of herpes? Just got tested at 8 weeks and waiting for results.

hope your doing ok. I too last year thought i had herpes type 2, long story short had unprotected sex and soon after had a burning sensation on my thighs too (but no leisons ect) ..it turned out this was just caused by major anxiety and worry, the doctors told me i likely had herpes after i was swapped, ( so i believed i had contracted herpes) however test results came back negative. i was still convinced I had herpes because my thighs were constantly burning and was inspecting my 'downstairs' for any signs of bumps ect. I then went for a second opinion because i was constantly burning on my top thighs and the doctor told me this burning sensation is 100% anxiety related due to having a scare and that herpes does not cause a burning in the thigh area atleast anyway and does not cause a 'constant burning sensation' and that it was all in my head. unless you have any other signs of herpes i think you should be fine x i hope this reassures you in some way whilst awaiting results x please let know how you get on i know its a scary place to be in xx

thanks so much. I have had a lot of anxiety because of this. And the doctor called right after and told me I was negative but idk how accurate 8 weeks is.

honestly you will be fine you sound so much like the place i were in a year ago. My test was also negative but i kept on having burning sensations all the time and i just couldnt believe i didnt have herpes. But from doing a lot of research It seems herpes moves very quickly in the stages...eg like first leisons appearing and then blistering/burningwhen you urinate and then alot of really bad pain..in other words if you had herpes Iyou would definitely know about it, youd be in soo much pain!! I think you really do just have a big amount of anxiety over it, burning thighs alone cannot be herpes 😊. all i know is that my anxiety has sky rocketed since my herpes scare xx hope this helps you x

if all you have is a burning sensation and no other symptoms youl be fine xx i saw 3 different doctors because i didnt understand why i was getting the burning all the time but was reassured it was a psychological issue of anxiety xxx

Well I had other symptoms too but other ones have somewhat subsided and this is a new symptom I have. That's why I was wondering if 8 weeks is accurate ??
