Burning sensation since Physio & ice

Posted , 3 users are following.

Wondering. Today was a strenuous workout during physio. I gave it my best shot. Tonight, my ankle, foot, lower leg feels like it is "burning." OW! I iced it down today about 3x and took warm shower. It feels just like a sunburn.

I believe this is week 9+ since surgery ( 1 plate, 7 screws)

Any thoughts, tips. I'm open!

Thank you, D

It could be DOMS. It means you worked hard! It is a good thing, even though it sucks. It will get better but probably worse first (the day after is worse then the day of).

During the first few weeks of increased physio I would have to have rest days after physio days to get over physio but as the muscles strengthened I havent needed to, and now (week17) I dont have swelling either! woohoo!

If you have some, rub some ibuprofen cream or arnica cream, do gentle stretches, ice, rest but also stay moving (fine line
