burning throat

ive been having this burning throat on & off it started when i had mono last feb, ive been to the ent and he didnt really see anything wrong said it was a little inflamed a bit , & that my tonsils were fine ,thought it was acid and gave me pills but that didnt do anything, ive been to other doctors and they think its allergies & ive tried some stuff in the past and it seemed to work a bit, but then it comes back and it really annoying and scary lol, ill feel like my tongue burns , roof of the mouth and throat and i wonder could it be "burning mouth syndrome" im just really lost at this point and was wondering if anyone had this experience??
