Do you have any abdominal pain of change of bowel habit?

More bloating then actual pain. I used to go daily for a bowel movement but getting more like every 2-3 days getting more constipated. My diet is terrible though. Just the gas & stomach noises that bother me the most!

Try adjusting your diet by starting a food diary to see what causes the bloating and see a doctor.

I've been using a supplement called atrantil for the gas and bloating, it is in no way a miracle pill but it does help.

I don’t have with have wind and gas all of the time but some days days  it is particularly bad when constipated. Also, completely get you on the anxiety front!! Triggers mine as well, such a vicious cycle! X

Are you currently experiencing stress? I used to have that every single day, well to pinpoint it, it starts when I time in for work. It was stress and the excess gas is trapped, I can't pass wind as I am in the office so I am experiencing pain in my upper left stomach. Resigned and it became so much better.

Hey Kate...there are lots of reasons for that...But the gastritis can cause burping and bloating and difficult to digest food....It is a stomach issue...in that we always feel bloated, reduced appetite due to fullness of stomach with gas and indigestion..one of the reasons for that is chronic stress and irregular food habits...I think you can try to change your diet from morning to night drastically...drink fresh fruit juices, more soft fibers and you can also try over the counter pantoprazole (40mg) once a day for a month and try to see if your symptoms are improving, You can also go to your GP and try to find the exact causebiggrin

I experienced this a lot about two years after my original diagnosis. I actually found out that I was lactose intolerant and that was a big factor. It is really uncomfortable and embarrassing when it gets loud. When ever this happens my anxiety gets really bad as well.  I too have started taking Atrantil and  though it is a little expensive, it definitely helps. It sucks but making small dietary changes here and there go a long way. Also, Gas-x is a reliable old friend. smile I hope that you are able to ease some of these pains. An Additional anxiety tip: Most of the time the "super loud" noises only seem loud because they are attached to your body. No one else can hear them (most of the time) so, get comfortable with your noises and they are less likely to psych you out.

I do you have IBS-C, however  my symptoms vary.

I had this problem as well, the pain  and bloating got so bad I actually went to the emergency room because I thought I was having appendicitis.   It turned out I was extremely constipated, which is weird because I was going to the bathroom regularly.

I was prescribed Luctoluse which was an internal cleanser, kind of like a prescription: colon cleanse.  After using it s few times my symptoms improved.  I will now occasionally use castor oil if I feel backed up, to me, it gives me the same or similar effect than the prescription.

I also use senna- I know this is not the healthiest option but it keeps me regular and seems to avoid waste build up in my system- making me less gassy and bloated as well.

I'm not saying waste build up is your problem but your symptoms sound very much like mine- and I know what you mean about the intestinal gas, it's something totally different than "farting." Per say.

Some other remedies I have used to help with gas snd bloating is Shiff's brand probiotics- the ones formulated for gas.  I use charcoal gas pills I believe they are called Charco Cspsuls- they come in a blue, white and pink bottle.  Kijimea IBS medicine is also something I use, it is a little expensive.  Atrantil has helped too.  The other thing I use is enteric coated peppermint oil capsules, these are relatively inexpensive and I was told from someone in this forum the enteric coating ensures the pills get to your intestines and GI track.  I believe these are almost the same thing as IBSguard- those supplements that come in the green box, which are pricey.

I am not going to lie, I use these altogether so I'm not exactly sure if it's one that works or the combo.

Like I said my first step was to get rid of the buildup.  I would have never thought I had that build up, but you'd be surprised.

Yes. The trigger? Stress and anxiety!

So far I drink warm water after waking up and then two ot three times a day, a dose of lemonaid (low fodmap drink from ginger, lemon and turmeric and some other stuff)

I was able to go out without stressing and getting bloated. Just hope it would last...
