hi everyone, I started taking maca 5.1 over a week ago now, and all seems fine, so I thought I would try some b vitamins aswell so purchased busy bees, took my first one yesterday tea time, after a few hours, felt a bit strange but put it down to taking it at tea time and not morning as I have read it gives you energy, but I had a terrible night last night, v bad Palpatations and more hot sweats than usual,

has anyone else experienced this, haven't taken another sad , maybe too strong or just don't agree with me

ps I no it's the tablet as I had v bright yellow urine after only coup,e of hours can't believe how quickly  it got into my system

thanks in advance

Hi gill. Does it tell you what the ingredients are? Sounds like whatever gives you energy has made your heart beat faster and given you palpitations.

Hi dear. The B vitamins work great for some.  I take B6 and B12 which are found in a lot of foods we eat too.  We just need more during this time.  I found that I have felt better lately and I believe it's because I drink more water.  My urine is nearly clear in colour and also helped minimize these symptoms too.   We should drink like 6-8 glasses of water.  Try and drink small amounts during the day to get your bladder used to it so we don't run to the loo every 1/2 hour. cheesygrinxo

    Hi Gill

I too take busy b and made the mistake of taking them at night. I felt restless and had palpitations and was up and down to the loo through the night. I take them in the mornings now with my breakfast and they are brilliant. After a week I felt so much better.

It does go through your system very quickly but that's ok.

I hope they work for you. They are only vitamins and the body expels it if it is too much (hence the yellow wee)

    Helen.

    Hi

I'm not keen on taking any meds, prescribed or other and fortunate to be med-clear......at the mo!

Util Xmas that is. My aching joints got the better of me so have taken Menopace vits/mins for past 10+ days.

Yep, wee bright yellow! Ache so much can't say how good they are in comparison to nowt and now not brave enough to stop!

B vits: I believe they are responsible for levelling our anxiety/ stress responses generally (come on H&B and correct me i I'm wrong!!). Personally not great with them as had previously taken them to deal with PMT yrs ago but found they made me more anxious, shaky/palpatations.

I'd check the RDAs on any vits/mins before taking 'extras' as seemingly 'natural' things such as herbals & bits can be a BT dangerous!

Maybe check the RDA of yr B bits as you might be overdoing it with them

    .

Oh yeah, and stay off things like Barocca until you've fou d a dose thats right for you. And go easy on the Redbull n' Vodkas:-) !!!
