Tinnitus, lightheadedness and lack of focus are all trademark symptoms of both anxiety and starting Citalopram. It can be down to the changes in blood pressure associated with either however once your loading period for the Citalopram is over it should settle down for you.
Take you time and try to not think about it too much and hopefully it should settle down for the day, should it continue or get worse then you should contact your doctor or non urgent care line on 111 for more advise.
When I started Citalopram I have quite a few side effects, it isn't pleasant however they do subside.

the ringing in my ears stopped after 2 days. And when I'd had a bit more sleep.
I still ill have very restless nights, and cry everyday, but not sure if this is the meds, the depression, or the situation I am in at home ( my partner is in the process of leaving me) :-((
