Buzzing in lips??!

So I have been going through something for a while now.  I dont know whats happening but I know anxiety is a factor so Iam working on my anxiety as much as possible. Its been going really well, but I still have symptoms every day. Lately i have noticed this buzzing in my body and very specifically my lips. It gets much worse if I have done a tough workout. I dont know why but this upsets me a lot. I get many things but the head pressure and his buzzing thing are the ones that get under my skin. Does anyone else get this? Is anyone elses anxiety symptoms sensitive to working out?? I guess I am looking for some reassurance..

Yes carrie....... I am very familiar with the buzzing feeling.  Mine started when I was in my twenties along with many other anxiety symptoms.

Just so you know, I am now in my fifties so that symptom had no negative affect on me.

What happens with anxiety is it tends to project symptoms on the nervous system. So people will get buzzing, tingling, numbness, dizziness etc and Think they have a terrible condition .  It Affects the nervous system because anxiety begins in the brain.

it also affects the cardiovascular system By making the heart speed up .

symptoms related to anxiety will not hurt you even though they feel weird.

Of course whenever anyone has new symptoms they should follow up with their  doctor to have things checked out.

I also find that exercise makes my symptoms act up sometimes. I think it’s because the nerves are already sensitive to the anxiety and when you work out  it just excites them a little bit. That does not stop me from exercising. I just accept it.   I don’t give my anxiety symptoms a lot of attention because that makes them worse. I do hope you feel better and remember just get a check up with your doctor for peace of mind.

Hi Carrie . I 100 percent get this when I’m highly stressed , I’ve had buzzing feet , legs and face mainly . I also twitch a lot . I used to get chin and lip buzzes mainly . At one point I thought I had ms which of course makes the anxiety worse and in Turn made the  buzzing also worse . Such a vicious circle . My doctor said it’s nerves that need to fire off from the Adrenalin .

    Hope this helps .

Thanks. Its really odd what anxiety can do! I have had anxiety in many forms through my whole life, but never had all of this physical stuff.  Sometimes its just good to hear you are going to be ok. Unfortunately I dont have anyone around me that understands really. Thank God for this site!
