BV and IUD - anyone?

Hi! I had Mirena inserted in March 2020. It never really did all the wonderful things I heard I heard it would do. It did help reduce severe menstral cramps, but my periods were light and sometimes longer than they used to be. I found it to be annoying, but dealt with it. I just tested positive for BV and I'm awaiting my herpes test results because I had a sore on the outside bottom of my vulva. My heart and hope is that is was from prolonged pad use. Anyone ever get BV from IUD?

    Because of health reasons, the IUD was my only contraceptive option, and i hate it so much. I think i have BV/Yeast infections every other month. My periods last longer than before, and my cramps are way worse. I definitly think IUD's help cause BV. So happy i have a few months left till i take it out.
