BV and possible link to earlier eating disorder/vitimin deficiencies

Hi Guys
I am just wondering whether any of you have had or still suffer with an eating disorder? I believe there is a link between BV and eating disorders and I feel like often the doctors don't investigate the route cause of the problem or they are not concerned with that! I feel like the attitude is 'oh here she is again, sleeping around again are we, hmm?' which is frustrating and it's not getting anyone anywhere!
Just as some background, I started getting BV a few years ago when I split up with a partner of seven years. Since then I have not had loads of relationships - I am with one person and for some reason, since we started sleeping together my body keeps getting BV (or sometimes it comes after my period).
I have successfully treated it prevously with Metronidazole and it has kept coming back. Just this last time I took the antibiotics and it didn't go at all! Now I am really panicking as I am starting a new job next week and I feel so paranoid and gross.
The fact that the antibiotics didn't work this time started me thinking about why I am getting the infection to begin with. Here is what I found...
Basically anyone who has had an eating disorder is likely to be deficient in Zinc. Zinc deficiency has been studied and directly linked as a cause of BV.
I started wondering why it has only showed up now. There is an answer to that too. Basically your body stores minerals for a number of years and it can be deficient in its intake of a particular mineral or vitimin for a number of years before the effects start to show. So I now believe that the reason BV has reared its ugly head now is that my body is finally all out of particular minerals which are essential for female health (zinc and probably some other ones).
I know some people have said zinc helped them out already. I was just interested to know whether any or many of you also had eating disorders.
FYI I am currently using vitimin C and I did have some nasty side effects like bleeding but it actually helped more than the antibiotics on this occasion!

PPS. I meant to say - I had an eating disorder (Bulimia) for about eight years. It was a struggle to get over it but I am now ok in that department. However, I think the eating disorder completely depleated all my zinc over the years and now it's showing itself as BV down the line...

I think bulimia can be one of the reasons too . To be healthy you need to have all needed vitamins and minerals !
I had BV for about 10 years and last 3 years when I married it worsened ! I had it every single time after intercourse ! I constantly took metronidazole for 3 years and it didn't help . So I stopped taking it . I visited many doctors including Mayo Clinic! And doctors prescribed only metronidazole . But METRONIDAZOLE makes BV worse and chronic as antibiotics kill bed and good (lactobacillus ) bacteria in vagina . If there are no good bacterial BV will come back again and again ! .what really helped me is a NARURAL TREATMENT WITH BORIC ACID FOR 21 days !!!! Not less than 21! Boric acid creates acid environment in vagina to kill pathogens .Take a boric acid capsule vaginally for 21 days at night and in 21 days I used high potency lactobacillus probiotics (50 billions) Vaginally not orally . Oral probiotics seldom reach vagina so they don't help much . So I bought empty gelatin capsules on eBay and transferred probiotic powder inside of gelatin capsule and inserted vaginally for 7days . AND BV HAS GONE !!!!dont have it for 3 months !! Also I constantly take boric acid capsule vaginally twice a week (usually after inter course )to constantly maintain acidic it's of vagina !!!
This really helped me !
