Bv and the symptoms how do I claify if I have it what's the smell like?

I am guessing I have bv by symptom checker but it's really hard to know,? Hear are the symptoms I have
I hve discharge that's like a damp patch in underwear , always feeling wet, and a funny smell with the discharge , hears the odd bit I don't actually know what it smells like , it's not fish,? The Dr asked me did it smell fishy but I di t know what she ment by this like actual fish on the counter or what? I know it sounds bad but I don't know really what to be smelling for? So if I can describe it at my best has anyone ever washed with Palmolive soap down there ??an it has that high soapy smell? It's kind of like that a little ,? Weird o know ?can any one describe what smell they have alls I can say is it's strong ??at its worse, it goes away too somedays then come bk with avengance also smells after sex no matter how many showers , been prescribed metronidazole starting tomorrow hoping for relief! Dr gave me these today

Did your obgyn take a swab to test for bv? Hopefully the anitbiotics will give you some relief! I have experienced a fishy odor, I would describe it as foul, like dead fish actaully, just very bad... like something is definitely wrong, the odor was always worse after sex, and I also experienced a lot of sort of slimy, greyish white discharge, had to change panties a lot!

No she didn't take swabs I went there for swabs said I want test for everything and bv thinking she would do them all then prescribe me treatment in meantime then go back for results , but she hasn't she gave me the metronidazole then booked me in for swabs next week this I find silly tho because i will have finished the course by then so if I did have anythink it would be cleared and not show , that's if this is the medican you use to treat STI'S aswell don't think I have but u never know

I never really understood the "fishy" odor thing either. I've been dealing with bv for about two & a half months now, and to me, the odor is more like a strong almost body odor smell. I've also had a slimy white discharge & always feel wettish down there. Ive had the swabs all three times i've been tested (most recently just today)& i think that is a better determination of whether you have bv, yeast or an STI.

I have the same but the slimy think not that regular and it's not white it's clear , the other day I wiped ??an there was this slimey thing with like a little peice of somethink inside it ! It looked exactley like the inside of ?an egg you know the White bit where sometimes it has like a funny yellow peice in it not the yolk like a small little fragment I don't know what the hell this was . Not or Carnt be pregnant and lag time had sex partner didn't ejaculate ??an time b4 that used condom so wasnt sperm any ideas? X

I got the results back & tested negative for bv, yeast & trich. They did a repeat of the STD portion at the same time, but i'm 100 positive that will be negative & my doc said if all the tests were negative, I'd need to come back in for a culture. So now I'm still left guessing what's causing my issues. As far as the little yellow bit within the slimy thing, i'm not really sure what that could be. Most of mine is whitish, sometimes clear colored - and i haven't seen any yellow things. Did the metronidazole help?
