BV and vitamin deficiencies/anemia

I've been fighting for years. Like yearssssss and to no avail. I've done antiobiotic numerous of times, the pill and the gel. Wasted my money at my gyno for them to tell me what I already know and then my problem come back damn near a week later. I've tried the Vitamin C suppositories and that was just painful. I tried the probiotic suppositories and nothing. I tried increasing my water intake, nothing. I started probiotic pills orally, nothing. I started back taking my multivitamins, nothing. Started taking cranberry pills, nothing (but that did help with the UTI symptoms that came along with the BV). I tried ACV baths, and while it helped with the smell and the discharge, the itch (which is the my least favorite thing about it, along with that smell) is still there. I tried blow drying my vag on a cool setting to get it dry, and that would help with the itching some before bed. But it's still there. The BV is still there. I'm thinking something's going on internally. Like my body chemistry is off. I lowkey think I'm anemic, one of main reasonings being that I crave ice A LOT. I'm always cold. Headaches and others symptoms that lead toward that. So I wanna know, is there any link between a low iron count and bacterial vaginosis? Did anyone on here go through the same thing and got no relief until the found out they had a vitamin deficiency or were anemic? I'm not pregnant, btw. I actually wanna go to my primar care doctor before I talk about tasking any supplements for this. But I just wanted some opinions first. Please feel free to share with me.

YES YES YES! I read a lady fighting BV for 7 years finally found out she was Vitamin D deficient and that she started taking Vitamin D3 and was cured. I didnt think after ALLLLLLL I have tried it could be that simple of a fix. However, I dont leave the house much and recalled my doctor mentioning me getting on a vitamin D suppliment years ago. So, I started taking Vitamin D3 and told the doctor of my findings and requested him to run bloodwork. (He looked at me like I had two heads...but ordered the tests) Of course....I WAS INDEED in severe dificiency of Vitamin D. I have been taking 5000 IU's of D3 a day for 6 weeks and the BV dissapeared about a week or so after starting it and it has not returned. Fingers crossed that this could possibly be your cure. good luck

Wouldn't recommend it, sis. It burned. I mean, it was like firey pits of hell burn, lol. But definitely uncomfortable. Don't do it. Whenever I find something that works, I'll be sure to let you know. I promise.
