BV connection to shampoo in shower

Posted , 3 users are following.

I started to get ill again with Bacterial Vaginosis.  I cut out using a certain shampoo in the shower. I am better again.  I did use the same shampoo for my hair but did this timeover the sink and shower so that no water with the shampoo came down on my body.  I am post menapausal which alters your hormone levels (not taking anything as this is a disaster area for me) in medical input.

    Hi babyele,

When I had BV, I used only tea tree shampoo from the body shop, which seemed to work. Other fragrant shampoos would offset my pH and give me a bout of BV. I still use tea tree shampoo, and if I use anything else, I'm ok now. I had BV for two years. If you'd like to see how I overcame it, you can look up "Ongoing BV and Yeast Infections No More" on Youtube. I'm not post menopausal like you, but it might still offer you some insight. Good luck!
