BV CURED!

I was pretty excited to come on this site to share what has cured me because i know how frustrating bv is and i am sure some of you have tried many things.
I had bv for 3 months. I am just now getting over it. I had gone to the doctors twice and have taken metronidazole and clindamycin. both intravaginal gels. Both gave me unwanted side effects and my symptoms came back after a week with both. I have also tried douching with h202 and vinegar for 5 days but it did not cure me while taking acidiphilus tablets and inserting two vaginally. It did not cure me. Little by little the itch would come back.
After a lot of research i was determined to fight this as I have seen many women have it for years and not have any solutions. Here are my findings and I am proud to say I am bv free! I take a vitamin b complex with folic acid 800, vitamin d3 5000iu and acidiphilus daily. do some research on it and test it out, i promise you wont be disappointed!

Hello,
I am new to this site and I have been dealing with BV for several years now. I have suffered and so has my partner right along with me. I want to thank you for sharing your story. I have stopped with the gels and pills, as they produce terrible side effects. I now use the tea tree oil suppositories and organic panty liners. One thing I've made note of:
Once I notice a fishy odor and milky discharge – I use the suppository for 6 nights – with organic panty liners while I sleep
My symptoms go away - I feel cured – I am fresh again
Have sex with my BF
BV – comes back a couple days later
Questions:
Where are the success stories for couples dealing with BV.
I have been told my partner does not need to be treated – Bacteria is Bacteria
I have heard about Vitamin C – is it a regular Vit C pill, or a special brand?

Again, where are the success stories where the BV doesn’t come back.
1. I don’t mind buying /using the suppositories
2. Is it worth having me and my partner take the antibiotics to kill the bacteria and then use the suppositories to maintain a healthy PH level.
3. I am desperately trying to NEVER deal with this BV curse again.
4. I wish there was a forum for Couples dealing with BV.
5. When I was single, I had no issues with BV – it only happens when I am sexually active and with ONE PARTNER.
6. I was single for two years – no issue with BV

Omg ladies!
I'm a young girl mid twenties and I've been suffering with bv since 2012. I've tried everything to the moon and back. Antibiotics, garlic, vitamin c, hydrogen peroxide! Everything you can imagine. One day I came across this thread and started reading....I was so relieved to know that other people experience this with me and I wasn't alone. I started loosing myself because of this bv. I was depressed, crazy weight gain and just flat out tired of living with that smell every menstrual cycle.
One day after reading the thread I realized that I never gave probiotics a try. Hey why not? You've already applied hydrogen peroxide to your Whoo-ha! But anyways LADIES this has saved my life! Probiotics were a gift from God himself it's been 9 months and NO SIGN of bv. I get a vaginal swab done every month and I'm free at last! I hope you give it a try! I'm telling you I was down and out this thread saved me!
I take two probiotic pills in the morning and one before I go to bed. I've also increased my water intake. Give it a try! Don't loose hope! Better days will come! I promise!

Are you able to slowly wean off from taking the probiotics daily, or do you need to keep taking them every day in order to keep the BV away?
Do symptoms tend to start coming back if you don't take daily?
Just trying a permanent solution, not just habits that manage the problem

Hi everyone, just thought I'd share my BV story as its been so comforting to me to know I'm not the only one dealing with this horrible thing!
I'm 19 & have been dealing with BV for almost a year now.. wasn't sure what was going on, at first it was just the strong smell & a little discharge but once I started sleeping with a new partner it was AWFUL.. loads of discharge and terrible smell. Had to change my underwear 4 times a day & was being teased by said partner.
I was working abroad at the time & on the pill.
Once I got home I stopped taking birth control as I am not interested in anyone around here and even if I were I wouldn't sleep with anyone due to the BV.
My symptoms were still pretty bad but I just hoped it would go away from not having sex or being on birth control.
I then decided I'd had enough & got a sexual health screening (all clear) and antibiotics for the BV.
I have not taken the antibiotics yet as I have read a lot about how bad they make people feel & how the BV often comes back anyway.
For the last 4 nights I have been inserting coconut oil before bed & cleaning my vagina in the morning with only water, and have noticed a huge difference in the smell & have had very little discharge.. only watery & with no to very little smell. This in itself has made me feel a lot happier as it has been so awful!
I have also today started taking acidophilus (3billion) & folic acid (400mg) will take 3 acidophilus capsules & 2 of the folic acid a day, along with using the coconut oil at night.
I'll let you all know how it goes, if anyone's interested. Don't lose hope! I am praying for the day I am BV free!!

This is such an upsetting condition! I never had any problems with my vagina except mild cystitis until a few months ago. I am a 33yo female and had recurrent BV that recurred every time even after three 7 day courses of strong anti biotics - each course also gave me thrush too (which I had never had!).
I didn't want more anti biotics so asked my doctor for a natural treatment and it worked!! I have been using two vaginal pessaries for 10 days and the disgusting smelll and symptoms of itching and swelling have finally gone! I've even had sex now and it hasn't come back (I didn't want to have sex with my boyfriend until the smell had gone).
You can insert betadine antiseptic vaginal pessaries every night (they tend to slip out during the day due to the consistency) and I've been using gynophilus vaginal capsules twice daily which redress the imbalance of good / bad bacteria down there. My doctor said these should be available at most good chemists / pharmacies. I also started to eat an organic pro biotic yogurt first thing every morning to help move things along.
That's all BV is - an imbalance of bacteria - basically an unhappy vagina! I think mine was caused by too much washing, a bout of cystitis, a new sexual partner, living in a hot climate and I aggravated the sensitive skin down there with too much hair removal cream one day.
My doctor told me to stop excessive washing and I've chucked away my feminine wash. Am so glad to be back to normal. Hope these things work for you guys because I know how much anxiety BV gave me!!!
