BV CURED!

Posted , 390 users are following.

I was pretty excited to come on this site to share what has cured me because i know how frustrating bv is and i am sure some of you have tried many things.

I had bv for 3 months. I am just now getting over it. I had gone to the doctors twice and have taken metronidazole and clindamycin. both intravaginal gels. Both gave me unwanted side effects and my symptoms came back after a week with both. I have also tried douching with h202 and vinegar for 5 days but it did not cure me while taking acidiphilus tablets and inserting two vaginally. It did not cure me. Little by little the itch would come back.

After a lot of research i was determined to fight this as I have seen many women have it for years and not have any solutions. Here are my findings and I am proud to say I am bv free! I take a vitamin b complex with folic acid 800, vitamin d3 5000iu and acidiphilus daily. do some research on it and test it out, i promise you wont be disappointed!

Ladies you have to load up on vitamins ! I have been struggling for 6months with bv & the antibiotics would work for a week or two but it'll come right back. So I started cleansing my body. Cut down my sweet intake & definitely started drinking more water. CUT OUT UR SUGARY DRINKS!! But I take 2 500mg, vitC with rosehip & ultimate women's probiotic I've been doing this for about a week & I honestly can tell a difference. I'm gonna add vitD & acidophilus to it & see if that'll help as well. Stop shoving things up ur vagina, it's only a temporary relief. Ur body is talking to you. LISTEN!! (I'll try keep u updated bi/weekly)

I've had bv for around 4 years and it has not been fun. I first tried diluted acv in tampons and that didn't work, left me with a clear gooey stretchy discharge that I could actually pull out of my body. Sorry, gross I know. Then peroxide and water douches, no good. Acidophilus seemed to help some, inserting it vaginally. Then I tried sitting in a sea salt and hot water mixture a lady on YouTube did to cure hers, worked a little for me but made my period smell really bad. I'm NOW doing the vitamin c and rose hips one. Day 1, I inserted half of a 1000 mg one with my finger. No burning. Woke up with no unusual color discharge I think my body really absorbed it or something haha. Not much change. Day 2, inserted a whole 1000mg and had some burning that eventually went away. Next day had a odd yellow thicker discharge, I'm guessing the pill. No horrid smell. I'm also taking probiotics and the vitamin c orally daily as well.

    Kris,

I have had problems with BV off & on for years. I found a product online called Femanol that has many of the ingredients that you mention +others that has worked wonders for me. It also has helped greatly with my IBS issue. Maybe this could help others here.

Hi everyone. I've been suffering from bv for 7 yrs. I've taken the medication from the doctor. I've changed my diet. I've tried home remedies. It all works for about a month at a time then like clock work it's back. I had a hysterectomy in 2006 and in 2009 is when it all started and won't stop. I did have about 8 months of no out break but this is stop a blow to a women's self-esteem. I have seen some things that I will try like vitamin c being inserted and hope I get some sort of relief.i was a one point taking these vitamin regularly but I stopped. I will again start taking them

    Hi,

I was suddently stricken with SEVERE BV symptoms one day, and suffered from them for several weeks when I finally broke down and went to my local clinic, where I got officially diagnosed with BV, and sent home with a 5 day antibiotic treatment (intravaginal gel). anyway, I did this, and got VERY short term relief, but didn't want to shell out more money for the same short term relief. I looked up natural remedies and cures and found your thread, and immediately went out and bought the supplements that worked for you, as well as minimizing sugar in my diet, or other processed foods. I can say that your suggestions got me out of my nearly month long misery (constant itchiness, dryness, bad smell/discharge, yeah..). I was about to curse myself for being female when I started taking these supplements and probiotics. I am a firm believer in the right combination of natural vitamins, probiotics and self care. Oh, and I also use vagisil ph balance once a day. I don't overwash though.

I regards to my username..I have a betta fish, so my user name in no ways alludes to having BV or a fishy vagina..lol!!

I wish everyone success in curing this very intimate and feminine nuisance. I got it, and so can you.

Your post saved me. I took the 5 day antiobotic and got VERY short term relieve for my imbearable symptoms that lasted for several weeks, and they came back in full surge after completion of that treatment. Mine was severe, and even my anus was itching!!. I was feeling hopeless almost feeling suicidal ideation from being in such an unbearably itchy, infected body. I came across your LIFE-SAVING thread and got all the supplements you suggested, namely the probiotic acidiphilus (wafers), folic acid 400 mg, and vitamin B complex w 400 mg folic acid, and I also take fish pills and vitamin d3 2,000mg per day. Since, I have experienced a dramatic decrease in symptoms, and now today I feel pretty much BV free. I also did add in vagisil PH balance and am careful not to overclean. While I was SUFFERING/MISERABLE with BV, I was cursing myself for being female, but now I am back to feeling good again thanks to your thread!

I am a firm believer that proper nutrition, certain supplementation, and priobiotics as well as good personal care routines are the best way to defeat these infections and prevent them. Antiobiotics kill off good bacteria too, and so that's why they didn't work for me, plus your body can gain resistance to them, but not to a good diet which feeds balance. Eliminate or minimize your sugar intake as well. I also drink Kombucha...

Never douche unless you feel a UTI coming on, then use a combination of 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water, or experiment with what works for you. I remember that douching is otherwise BAD for your vagina, don't do it unless you are feeling a UTI. Use Vagisil PH balance in the exterior part ONLY. Try to use daily in lukewarm water, rinse in cool/cold.

I wish everyone to cure themselves of this horrible feminine issue. IF I can, you can too!
