BV CURED!

Posted , 390 users are following.

I was pretty excited to come on this site to share what has cured me because i know how frustrating bv is and i am sure some of you have tried many things.

I had bv for 3 months. I am just now getting over it. I had gone to the doctors twice and have taken metronidazole and clindamycin. both intravaginal gels. Both gave me unwanted side effects and my symptoms came back after a week with both. I have also tried douching with h202 and vinegar for 5 days but it did not cure me while taking acidiphilus tablets and inserting two vaginally. It did not cure me. Little by little the itch would come back.

After a lot of research i was determined to fight this as I have seen many women have it for years and not have any solutions. Here are my findings and I am proud to say I am bv free! I take a vitamin b complex with folic acid 800, vitamin d3 5000iu and acidiphilus daily. do some research on it and test it out, i promise you wont be disappointed!

I've been taking acidophilus, and strong cranberry tablets hoping to be cured and it's almost gotten worse. It's a foul smelling discharge for the last year and a half, I've tried everything from Doctor prescriptions and the symptoms come back after a week. I need help

I just cured my BV a few days ago after battling with it for 5 months, and it was absolute torture. I learned a lot in those five months and these are must-do's to find your cure.

    1. When you go to the doctor and they confirm you have BV, make sure you have them tell you the strain of bacteria. I was given metronidazole twice when that wasn't even the right antibiotic for my strain, which was e.coli

    2. If the antibiotics don't work the first time, DO NOT keep taking more, even if they reccomend it. If antibiotics don't work on the first try, they most likely won't knock it out for good on the second try. Here's the reason why--BV is caused by a change in your pH level. A healthy pH level lets the good bacteria thrive and the bad bacteria die. Antibiotics kill both, and your pH level will most likely still be off because antibiotics kill the bacteria that help maintain the a healthy ecosystem. This causes harmful bacteria to recolonize and the bv will come back once more.

I was given an antibiotic specifically for the ecoli strain, and then that was finally gone but boom--yeast infection. I did monistat 7 which took care of the yeast infection, but I still had some unknown infection afterwards. This made me realize that it has to be something wrong within me, not externally. Something was causing my pH level to be out of wack, so my final piece of advice (do this even before you start taking antibiotics) is

    3. Get a blood test. Check if you're deficient in any vitamin, especially D, B12, and Iron (but check as many as you can...and if you're near menopause, check your estrogen levels). I had to specifically request a test for vitamin D after all the research I did. Turns out I was low in vitamin D, which creates antimicrobial peptides within you and is vital to fighting off infections. Vitamin D deficiencies are very common as well. Two weeks after I start taking it + a women's probiotic every day, I'm finally cured. I even had sex and no infection. Good luck everyone, and get a blood test!

I have found a cure after so many months! I first noticed the presence of BV by a fishy smell after having sex. After some research I figured out what it was and tried all sorts of home remedies. Tea tree tampons, hydrogen peroxide, probiotics, EVERYTHING. I went to the doctor and they gave me antibiotics. I didn't take them because I didn't want to compromise my health for something that wasn't going to kill me. The only thing that worked (temporarily for the smell) was boric acid capsules as vaginal suppositories. I felt reliant on these for months because If I didn't use them every few days I would have a noticeable smell that started to become really tiresome and for the first time in a while I was self conscious. After a bit the smell changed from fishy to a more sour smell that was better but still not my natural state. Then one of my mom's herbalist friends told me about COPTIS. This is the CURE. I bought it in tincture form and in Chinese teapill form. The tincture is incredibly bitter so It was hard to take and I didn't notice any difference from it. I took the pills and inserted two vaginally (be sure to wear a pad, it come out again with a very vibrant color) and the next day it was gone. After one treatment. I didn't even need to continue (though you should try at least 3 days). It was gone completely for two weeks. It seems to have shown up again slightly now that I am menstruating and the PH has become alkaline. I am confidant that it wil work for good now that I am using it continuously. I also stopped eating sugar and gluten and allergens (dairy for me) and that has helped other candida problems and has probably contributed to vaginal health, something to consider. Be well! I hope this is found useful!

Hey, I was a bit confused myself. I suffer from time to time between yeast infections and bv and with the medication it always seem to cone back. I read all of the comments on this post and decided to try the plain vitamin c tablet. I tried it last night and in the morning I had no smell and no discharge at all. You have to insert tablet into your vagina but that wasn't as bad as I thought it was gone be. I used vitamin C 1000 mil. Good luck

Hello, do you take all three of these pills orally? Or do you insert it in the vagina?

Thanks for all the great information! My symptoms seem very mild compared to many others here. I don't get a strong odor but I know it is different than it was before my BV started 9 months ago and the discharge is generally very light. I have been diagnosed with BV 3 times in 9 months and Metranidozole doesn't seem to work so I am not going to take it anymore. It seems I relieve the symptoms a little bit with hydrogen peroxide and water tampons + Folic Acid 800MCG and Acidiphilus tablets orally but they never go away completely.

I am just trying to figure out which combination to use (I know it varies by person):

I read that you said to consider getting the Mag/Cal/Zinc tablet. Are you taking that in addition to the vitamin b complex with folic acid 800, vitamin d3 5000iu and acidiphilus daily?

    Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hello all. I've had bv on and off for about over a year now. I will go 3 months without it and then it'll come back after having sex with my husband. The weird thing is, it doesn't come after every sexual encounter. I guess a quick wipe doesn't work well with me afterwards (just being honest.

I got it in the summer for 2 months and then I was fine up until now (January / February.) I still currently have it. I've taking flagyl orally and metro gel 2 weeks after because it hasn't cleared. I went to see a gyno this week and she swabbed by vagina with gentian violet. It's an anti fungal killer used on thrush. For 2 days know I've had a bright blue/violet discharge from the gentian violet. It is crazy to see anything that color coming out of your body but it's completely normal because it's the color of the treatment that is put inside of the inner lining walls of your vagina. You have to wear pads with it because the dye stains your panties. Anyhow my gyno suggested I not take the metro gel if possible so that this treatment can help "reset" my body. So far so good. I am still a little irritated down there, but I haven't ran to fill the metro gel prescripton either. I'm a bit nervous to try the vitamin c pills because I don't know how my body will react. I've done the yogurt suppository before and it helped relieve the symptoms but it didn't cure it. My cycle starts next week (unfortunately) and I'm hoping it doesn't throw off my (already disturbed) ph levels.. Grrrr!!! Hoping that if I take vitamin c, acidophilus, prenatals, vitamin D and zinc it'll clear up on its own. I love sugar so I'm trying to stay out from it, but I can't completely cut carbs. I'm a vegetarian and just eating veggies after working out 5 days a week just doesn't cut it. I pray daily to feel a change.

Hi Kris.  Thanks for sharing...but I got some questions though.  I was told that I have bv nad also took metronidazole.  From 1st day I took, the itch subsided till about 6 days.  Then a bit of itch here and there, now after 7 days of finishing medication...the itch is starting to aggravate once again.  Are you still taking those you recommended?  When you're taking the acidiphilus, don't you experience flatulence?  I think that is one of its' side effects.  How are doing now?  Did you have any outbreak again?  It's really frustrating because when they give the medication to cure it, it'll possibly lead you to yeast infection.  Can you update me on your case?  Thanks.

Hello Nancy. You sound just like me! I have been suffering with this crap for 2 months as well. I've taken everything you named and nothing seems to give. I cut back on grains, sugars and that didn't help either. I've had blood work done and my test results were all fine. I'm starting to feel crazy, but I keep praying to God that he will heal me. I'm taking my 5th antibiotic called Cleocin which is a vaginal cream. I'm praying this works because I'm out of options. I don't think sticking a vitamin c inside me is a good idea as I'm sensitive to things. I'll say a prayer that you find a cure.

      Mark 5:34

He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."

Thank you so much for responding! And your kind words! I need to start praying about this. I usually pray to God to help heal me and he usually answers. So, thank you for that! I douche in the morning with h202 and probiotic suppositories with a tampon during the day and douche again in the evening. Along with the other supplements and oral probiotics I'm taking. I don't have severe itching. The smell is starting to subside a bit and the discharge isn't heavy. It's not inflamed either. So, I'm wondering if everything I'm doing is starting to work. I know it doesn't cure overnight but I wish it did. smile I have a sensitive bladder so I'm scared vitamin c would burn or irritate my bladder. I did hear with douching 2 a day, it can take up to 7 days. But, with changing my diet so much. I'm really hoping this works. It's hard on my relationship and on me especially. Pray pray pray! smile

Hi Leggiez.  I would definitely look up at the discussion regularly.  I just recently had this symptom (basically just itch - but really really itchy like a hundred ants are biting at the same time).  I would definitely share whatever I know or any information I will get while I'm on treatment.

My doctor recommended the Florastar probiotic while I'm taking the antibiotic.  This helps not aggravating stomach upset or even diarrhea due to the antibiotic.  There are a lot of probiotics out in the market and the doctor said that they're all the same.  I would suggest try to get the ones with more live bacteria.  Mine has like 50,000 in one capsule.  Try adding plain yogurt to your diet as well.  If you like pomegranade, then have it on a daily basis if its available on the market.

I don't know about douching but what I know is it'll disturb the natural cleaning process down there.  Probably you can discuss this with your doctor.
