BV CURED!

I was pretty excited to come on this site to share what has cured me because i know how frustrating bv is and i am sure some of you have tried many things.

I had bv for 3 months. I am just now getting over it. I had gone to the doctors twice and have taken metronidazole and clindamycin. both intravaginal gels. Both gave me unwanted side effects and my symptoms came back after a week with both. I have also tried douching with h202 and vinegar for 5 days but it did not cure me while taking acidiphilus tablets and inserting two vaginally. It did not cure me. Little by little the itch would come back.

After a lot of research i was determined to fight this as I have seen many women have it for years and not have any solutions. Here are my findings and I am proud to say I am bv free! I take a vitamin b complex with folic acid 800, vitamin d3 5000iu and acidiphilus daily. do some research on it and test it out, i promise you wont be disappointed!

I tried acidophilus and the metronidazole it got rid of it. I also placed acidophilus mixed with plain yogurt in my vagina with a tampon it cleared everything right up for me no more odor itching or bacteria and just to be on the safe side I had my husband get the same medication because I believe he was giving it back to me and now nothing I'm BV free now for a whole year!!

Hi melody, I found a yogourt with live cultures in and it contains L. bulgaricus, L. Acidophilus, L. Casei, Bifidus and the one I am worried about is - Streptococcus Thermophilus. This is the only yogourt to have all the live Lactobacillus in but will the Streptococcus Thermophilus do damage to my vagina???

I am so depressed with this sad

He used it the same as me two times a day I had him get the medicine from his doctor. The doctor thinks men don't carry the Bacteria vaginitis but they do it's different in them it's just Bacteria because he kept giving it back to me.

No yogurt will not burn your vagina also if you have coconut oil use that as well it will help too. I was a chronic B.V. For 10 years so u may have to try different methods that's works for u and to it get rids of it I know the acidophilus creates good Bacteria so I got in a habit of using it.

    Hi,

is like everyone to know what worked for for me. I went to the doctor after I noticed weird discharge and a fishy odor I was tested for bv came back positive.

I was prescribed antibiotics a week later the bv came back.I went back to the doctor I was prescribed more antibiotics, inserted vitamin c vaginally, and took it orally. Its been gone and has never come back I still take the vitamin c daily to prevent a return.

hi there. I've been following this forum for awhile bc of BV issues but I want to be yet another woman that I believe (at least for now) that Vit. C has helped tremendously! I inserted one last night with an applicator and absolutely no issues whatsoever. I woke up and the smell had seemed to have seriously either disappeared or gone completely. I will continue this for about 5 days whilst taking probiotics. everyone should TRY this... as long as you have been diagnosed with BV from a health professional (I have. 3 times) then you should be good to go. also, I notice people say it burns. that's only because you need to get an applicator (like the kind that comes with monistat) so that it does not touch your labia area. once it's deep inside it should not burn. but yeah this is a huge relief! so thanks to all of you who have tried it against all odds and helping out people like me who didnt know what the heck to do smile

I guess I spoke too soon. though it DID eliminate the smell for the period of time I used it (and also dealing with yucky weird discharge too) unfortunately after a reasonable amount of time using the Vit. C, I stopped just to see if BV would come back and it did within 24 hours. this isnt a cure. and I'd be careful using it as a long term treatment. someone else mentioned after 11 days of inserting, it made her raw and bleed. it may work for a temporary relief but I don't think this is enough. so now I'm fairly certain I will remove my IUD. because this is getting out of hand. and I'm pretty sure it is NOT helping. it's great for your sex life, but its almost not even worth it if you never want to have sex with your boyfriend because he can smell you! : (

I suffered with BV for about a year and now I am cured.

I had antibiotics in the past but it always came back especially after I had a period. I started taking 20 billion acidophilus daily and doubled my dose while taking a course of antibiotics. It's been 2 months now and I am BV free. The acidophilus replaces the good bacteria that is destroyed by the antibiotics.

This might not work for everyone but is worth a try.

Hey! What's the name of the brand of the 20 billion acidophilus that you used please? I would really appreciate it as I'm struggling with chronic BV and its affecting my life.
