BV for 5+ years... found something that has worked

Posted , 5 users are following.

I have chronic BV. BAD!! I have had it for over 5 years of not longer... I go through pantyliners like water. My husband and i are trying to have a baby and honestly Intercourse is not enjoyable and I am convinced that if its not directly because of Bv that I cant get pregnant, its the stress of it. I have tried everything... Flagyl, Boric Acid, Clindomycin, Metronidazole, Refresh (gave me the most painful yeast infection) antibiotics, apple cider vinegar, , yogurt tampons... i even bought a douche for hydrogen Peroxide (which doesnt work because it just runs out) I have done diets, obstained from sex, seen a specialist in Florida and it comes right back after sex.... 3 days ago I read an article on the benefits of Hydrogen Peroxide and one of them was to use it in the bath for infections. so, i put some about half of a small bottle in my bath along with a couple drops of Tea TREE oil. I did this 2 nights in a row. I had sex last night and woke up this morning ODORLESS!!!! I took another bath this morning and for the first time in as long as i can remember, my pantyliner is smell and gunk free after 6 hours.... I PRAY this is the answer but I Cannot wait to go home and have sex tonight!!! I am soooo excited!!! TRY it and please please let me know if it works for you.

a commonly misdiagnosed STD called trichomoniosis often gets confused for BV, because the swab under a microscope looks idential to it. but it required a much stronger dose of antibiotics, basically antibiotics for bv times 3! same symptoms as well

would Antibiotics for 7 weeks (which they prescribed me for Bv) have cured TRICH? Thanks for the comment... i will definitely be talking to my doctor to make sure they tested for that when doing my STD check

fortunatley no, trich can normally be cured in once very potent dose of the oral BV medication like metronidazole or tinidazole which I'm sure you have taken before. this time the dose will likely cause a stomach ache or nausea if taken on an empty stomach or with alcohol. also drink lots of water

I got pregnant with dealing with bv for 10 years. its definitely possible. I hope you get pregnant. but i would use a condom after you get pregnant because bv and pregnancy is awful. I had to do metrogel while pregnant. I'm going to try the hydrogen and tea tree oil tonight

hey I wanted give an update. thank you soooo much for your suggestion. I cannot believe it worked for me. I'm going to continue to monitor to ensure it keeps working. but I did add thyme and lavender essential oil to the hydrogen peroxide and tea tree oil. I also vagi steam. so I have intercourse this past Saturday and Sunday-monday I did the bath. yesterday I steamed and no odor or a lot of discharge. I also started taking baking soda in the morning and before bed. I hope this continues to work for me. thank you again.

I just wanted to say that the remedy only worked 1 time for me. it came back Monday after I did the bath Sunday night. I'm not sure if I used enough peroxide and tea tree oil or if it was just a 1 time fix for me but I'm still doing them and added a tampon soaked in coconut oil and tea tree oil. but it was nice for the one off that worked so thanks. back to the drawing board for me though. how much peroxide and tea tree oil do you use?
