BV Frustration Nightmare!!

Posted , 6 users are following.

I've been dealing with BV/Yeast Infections for about a year now.  Doctors keep giving the same medication over and over again.  I'l have 2 weeks to 1 month of relief and then BAM..BV again.  It usually seems to happen after sex or right after my period has ended.  I don't have a problem with odor.  My problem is mainly with the buring, itching, and pain.  Im so nervous to do anything! I'm scared to have sex and even go to the pool out of fear I will be irritated. There have been several occasions where the doctor has tested me in the results came back negative but I knew something was going on.  So I would just go back a week later and BAM! It would be positive smh  I'm currently taken Metrogel which I 1st started taken 5 days and then stopped due to my period coming on.  I went into the doctor for an exam and sure enough the BV was still present.  So I'm doing another round this time for 10 days.  I am currently on day 8 and I really don't feel like it's getting any better.  I also have my diflucan as well to take to prevent a yeast infection.  I have added the supplements fem dophilus 2 every morning and 1 800mcg of Folic acid.  I just started that 2 days ago.  I have read several tips on this websites.  I'm just so overwhelmed and confused by it all.

I really want to try inserting the Vitamin C into the vagina I'm just scared that will just make everything worse.  Any suggestions?

Also a couple people have stated changing diet, cutting out sugars, dairy, wheat.  It seems that EVERYTHING has sugar in it even yogurt!  What are you supposed to eat besides of course your veggies?  I am willing take any suggestions you may have.  I am desparate!

    Good Morning!

I had the same exact problem for 15 years! Ivr tried everything!!!!! from metrogel, to flaygel, boric acid, liquid chlorphyll, tea tree oil, vitamin C with rosehips, folic acid, vitamin C,D,E, Yogart, peroxide douche, sitting in sea salt, apple cidar vinegar, refresh, probitotics, clidese, Femonal, Clydimicin. I mean YOU NAME IT.. IVE TRIED IT!!!! NOTHING gave me permanent relief.. So i finally switched doctors (for the 4th time) The first visit he gave me the regular that every other doctor gave me!!!! flaygl & metro gel!!! ughh that didnt work but for 2 weeks .. so i was back! he said you know what i've done some research and there are specific bacterias.. that are all treated differently.. so he did a pap smear and said give him a couple of days... his nurse called me and advised me that i had a different bacteria that was present (i forget the name) but that it has to be treated with Doxcycline not flaygl nor metrogel!... so she put the prescription in and i went after i got off of work.... I wasnt too excited after all ive been through! So i begined the meds and i had to take it 2x for 14 days. the first day i saw some progression (just like the other meds) but the meds made me feel sick for 30 min ... i still continued ... day 3 the smell and discharge was COMPLETLEY gone!!!! Completley!!! i was happy but again still not fully sold! i continued for the duration of the meds! and felt clean fresh just wonderful!!!!! but here is the real test AFTER THE MEDS!!!!! I'm proud to say ive been FREEEEEE OF SMELL OF DISCHARGE FOR OVER A MONTH!!!!!!!! IM STOKED!!!!!!!! I BARELY WEAR UNDERGARNMENTS ANYMORE! LOL Just thought I'd share my story! Make sure u are being treated for the right bacteria!!!!

Boric acid.. did the trick for me but only temporarily :-(

That is why you have to find out what is triggering it and in reading your responses its his semen you may need to use condoms, not allow him to finish in you and if he does wash up as soon as you can and my be insert boric acid once a week.   everything sets me off including my own cycle so I use one around that time and my husband doesnt always finish in me.

Yeah I was told to get just straight Vitamin C pills with nothing extra added and if you want to use the roseships try also using some organic cocunut oil so tha it does not burn.

i was also told at a vitamin store to purchase L - arginine.  It's supposed to help the Vitamin C absorb into the blood stream.

I had vaginitis for 4 months. The way that it was finally cured: I asked to be treated for mycoplasma genitalium. This bacteria causes a high pH and recurrent BV. And no one screens for it, and flagyl doesn't kill it. If you want to be tested: labcorp test 180089. Treatment is 5 day z-pack. Good luck!
