BV HELP, have you had cramps?

Hi, I'm new to this group but I'm hoping you guys can help. Did you have cramps/lower abdominal pain with your BV? I have awful cramping in my lower abdomen, soreness, achey, inflamed, swollen feelings. Feels like period cramping and I need a heating pad. I cough and my pelvic region hurts. I had olive green discharge once last week, followed by itching, dryness, and then the cramping started. Going to the specialist Wednesday but when I asked a few months ago if BV could cause cramps/pain in my pelvic region they said no. I just need reassurance that this lower abdomen pain can be connected to BV. i had a bunch of tests done from feb-July before I was diagnosed with BV in July, ultrasound, ct scan, bloodwork, MRI, and all came back fine. Thanks!!

    Could it be gonareah?

No definitely not. Started after my period came back after I gave birth to my son about a year ago. Was tested for all of that while I was pregnant and it was negative. Only had one partner for 12 years.

If u had a pee test to check for it , it might be worth going back to do swabs because not always can they get a positive for gonareah on a pee test when someone has the infection, I also know when your pregnant they kind of do a wee sample because it's dafter than prodding just to be certain you may want to book swabs xx

Safer not dafter although it is daft that if you have ??an STI it dosnt always show up in your urine sample especially if it isn't the first catch!

I'm new to this group as well. I've been suffering on and off with BV for 4 yrs now. I ALWAYS have the cramps, burning and itching. NEVER had green discharge! I know vaginas are difficult though and everyone's symptoms aren't the same! I've read posts earlier this week about the Vit C with Rosehips and Acidophilus sooooooooo I went to purchase both. Inserted Vit c vaginally and next morning all my symptoms were gone!!!! I've used coconut oil soaked tampons too and have had great results!!! So far I'm Bv symptom free but I'm on my period and as well all know, it seems to clear when your period starts! I suggest trying the Vit C with Rosehips and acidophilus orally. Hope this helps! Keeps us postedsmile

the first time i had grayish/green, second time it just wasn't normal, sticky, yellowish, watery. Dr said after having a baby it will probably never look normal again, so thats why it went undiagnosed for so long. This third time there was only one time i wiped and it was like dark green/gray again but now its clear/yellowish. it's not bright green and its not all the time. I'm glad i am not the only one with cramping, makes me feel better. Will let you know what they say tomorrow after my appointment. Thanks!

Hope you have better luck at the Gyno than I did. They had NO idea what to do for me, other than send me to a immunologist which wanted me to take Diflucan for 6 months!! Decided to take matter in my own hands and started researching myself. Now I see I'm not alone and tons of women suffer from this embarrassing problem. I've stuck to Vit C and Acidophilus regimen and so far so good!!!! We will see......hope you get relief soon;-)

Not a thing! I would get yeast infection followed by BV. Diflucan did treat my yeast but nothing for BV. I think Dr's just have NO idea what to do with recurrent BV. Thank goodness us ladies have forums like this to educate eachother!!!!

Ive told my doctor multiple times that no matter what antibiotics he gives me (sinus infections) I get the bv back. The bv comes and goes all the time for me. I've got it under control but stress makes it worse. 2 weeks before my period it's horrible then it tapers off. Right now I took an antibiotic during my period and the pain and itching are unbelievable. I'm out of town and so is my doctor for the next 2 weeks and I refuse to go to the ER. they don't listen. I also get boils down there (wonderful hereditary trait) so having one of those with bv is just pain on top of pain.

Gotta be careful with persistent lower abdominal pain and green discharge, it could be PID which is inflammation of the uterus and fallopian tubes, caused possibly by gohnorrea or other bacteria in the vagina. This is a more serious issue than BV. Pain continues you should see gyno again. Just FYI.
