Hi everyone!,

Im new to this and just looking for some much needed advice! Im 20 and have been suffering from recurring BV for almost 3 years.

It's such an awful disease! Constant paranoia and it has taken its toll on my sex life aswell.

Im just wondering if anyone had any luck with over the counter products. I also heard certain vitamins can great rid of it when inserted internally.

Really need your help everyone, and any advice on how you cured it would be greatly appreciated!!

Generally after I take antibiotics the bv comes back after a second period. The first one I am in the clear and the second time period comes BAM I have it again. I just ended my second period and no sign of the BV at all! I am back to normal again which tells me that the method that I have been using is WORKING!! I'm so excited and I want to share it with you. Here is what I have done:

1.) When BV reoccured went to the doc and took metronidazole pills prescribed.

2.) Changed my body wash soap to Johnson and Johnson baby wash (doc told me it has the right amount of PH balance in it the vagina needs).

3.) Started taking Multi-Vitamin for her once per day.

4.) Taking 1 Femdophilus pill twice a day (one in the morning one at night).

    5.) 1 500 mg Folic Acid Tablet a day.

6.) 1 Vitamin D3 1,000 IU once per day (before bed)

    7) 1 Vitamin C tablet per day.

I would say that it took a second round of metro before I was in the clear because all of the vitamins take at least 3-4 weeks max to start absorbing in your system really good so if this does not work the first time you start the regime take a second round of metronidazole, but continue the above regime and you WILL notice a difference. Dont miss any days of taking the pills...! I plan to decrease to 1 FemDophilus after I see that I am clear after my third cycle but I know that this is working. Please dont ignore this regime...try it...you wont be disappointed..if you've tried everything else, what do you have to lose; just try this!

Hi I really do feel for you I'm 26 an have been suffering from this since I was about 17 rolleyes I have tried all antibiotics but they never work it just comes back again after my period rolleyes the only thing that is working for me is something called balance activ bv gel insert one at night an evening is back to normal smile but I have to take them everyday because if I don't it just comes back.i wouldn't personally advise on inserting anything like tablets up their either.i am also taking the femdolphius but have not noticed any change by using it an it's very expensive sad. I use aveeno oil in the bath no pefumed soaps and even wash my hair over the bath.. I have tried absolutely everything to get rid an now I'm waiting for a gynecologist appointment to see if they have any ideas xx

I've dealt with this as well for quite some time. I have taken Flagyl and Tinidazole (I think that is the way to spell it). But to offer some help let me give a little history.

I have had Several rounds of meds,SEVERAL. I've taken Flagyl 4 times and Tinidazole 3 times each with a Dr's appointment so I've spent alot of money and time on this only to find that Anitbiotics work for the time being but it does not cure the cause of BV. The trick is to balance your PH and Boost your immune system so that your body can naturally fight the bacteria. Now for quick results for the discharge/smell you need to place a Vitamin C tablet with Rose Hips 500 mcg in your va-jay-jay for 3-5 consecutive nights. Since vitamin c boots your immune system, it is best to take this orally as well as Folic acid 800 mcg vitamin D3 5000 IU a Multivitamin and Ultimate Flora (This is a probiotic found at walgreens, amazon, CVS, WalMart, etc). Drink plenty of water.. This WILL help, I am a BV survivor from doing this. At first i was skeptical but I was more desperate so I tried it. I even went far enough to insert the probiotic in there during the day and the vitamin c at night. This works wonders and it cheper than going to the Dr every month..

Also since sex and your period raises your PH I recommend inserting the vitamin c afterwards just in case
