BV related to PID?

I had pains in my uturs area and pelvic. I know the guy i got with did have sex with around 10 girls girls before me and did cheat on me, but i did not know that until after I got sent to the hospital and attimuted to it. But I was told a male can not get it, which confused me very much... It still does.

Hi yes they say men can not get it, but I believe they either can carry it or do get it with out symptoms meaning they wouldn't know they had it it's strange isn't it I do wish someone would do research and maybe a documentary on it I know a lot of ppl would watch it xx

Also have you googled PID yet to see if it can come from a prolonged sti xx

Yes i have done research and ive heard you can develope a PID from having one after prolonged period of time. So i'm guessing i had BV for maybe 4 or 5 months without knowing it before I found out.

How did the Dr find out you have PID is it curable , I kind of had it but mildly then in sep 15 I slept with someone ??an it went much worse to the point I couldn't controll it I took that gel but it came back then I got treatment for thrush, but still there I really did think I had sti I haven't yet been checked went drs a few times for swabs but they wouldn't do it she has came me a urine pot tho so going to do that I think this week check for the normal, but I was prescribed metronidazole and all my symptoms have gone I have also had sex 3 times with my partner since takin them ??an it has not come back and I even let him ejaculate the last time because I believe the level of ph in seman can cause BV but still ok ??an no odour im starting to think weather it was the sex partner in sep that gave me it but once treated gone or if I have a sti that flured up ??an has settled back down but I don't know how they work ?can symptoms with ?an sti be worse some months than others or go away after a while still gonna be screened tho would hate for that smell thing to come back also I threw away these tho ha I had which wear like a ?see through material which I also believe could have caused it ??an bought some cotton knickers which seem to be feeling better down below hope you can sort you out ??an find answers x

My doctor found out I had a PID because I went to the ER at 3am one morning with horrible pains, like i said feeling like puking could hardly stand or walk.. And it took 7 hours for them to figure out and it cam back as Pelvic Inflamitory Disease. How i know it was from bv was because two weeks prior i went to a quick care because i had an odor and more discharge than usual and i thought it was a yeast infection, but they told me it was bv and gave me medicie that did not work. But when I had my PID they gave me the exact medicine as you and it went away for a good few months but some how came back even when i wasnt having sex.

I also don't think its something thay can be given to us. The way our ph levels r...the first time we get it that it got it for life. I guess like lime disease. Sometimes it bad and sometimes its not. The first time I got it was with my ex. Didn't have it again for a long time. Then came back again. Finally found out bout the cheating thing and I left him. The next man I was with I could smell it and he as far as I know he wasn't with anyone else for a while before me. So I think once we have it the first time it all depends on urs and the man's ph levels. But I have learned how to never have to deal with this problem again. Thx to these bv forums.

Oh my god sound horrific ,? I slept with someone got this then found out they sleep around a lot a very very lot also have regular gf so this is apauling I feel he gave it to me never had a problem till him since I haven't been with him it's getting better slowly but surely it's like a sti I think that they CARNT catch on swabs of stuff the meds have worked for me even now I'm having sex with my partner of now it's not back I battled it couple of months though ??an the mind over matter was bad too xxx

Well I'm glad u have recovered from it anf I've come to notice that it doesn't always happen. So I guess it depends on the guy ur with. I really wish this was something doctors would look into. I'm a single mother of four now and almost 35. Its hard enough to find a good guy with just that. U add a smelly vagina to the mix I'm screwed. It has literally put me on depression medication...which has in turn made me gain weight. So now I'm just a big mess. Lol life gotta luv it

That won't help I found smoking when I was stressed made it worse I don't smoke now that could be why , it's gone, just try change things bit by bit ??an any man who won't look at you because your 35 with children is a man not worth having remember that children are life and soul keep us alive and will always love us no matter what there will be someone out there willing to love you you just haven't met him yet xxx good luck with bv have you had metronidazole yet U say?

Ps could be worse I've just found out my lumps I hve are called bartholin gland cysts or something and apparently they don't know what they caused by but can be having a sti a long time ??an now I'm starting to think I have something up with me terrible this im back the drs tomorrow then ??

Ty for the generosity but there r multiple things wrong with me that keep men away. One day I just hope I get used to be lonely then it won't hurt so bad anymore. I have cysts that aren't cancerous yet, but u can see them. So to a guy they look like herpies or worts or somethin I bet. Men don't think like we do and they don't know the things we know...
