BV & Semen PH

I still have BV, pelvic pain, severe cramping, stabbing and weird periods that has not gone away. However, my gyno had ordered a semen analysis on my man since we have been trying to get pregnant (I have 2 children, he does not) and i still have not been able to concieve. His PH came back as a 9. Now, i believe it is his semen throwing my PH off and why i cant get rid of this BV. From what i have read semen is supposed to be 7.2-8.0 range so hes very high. We wont know until we go to the fertility specialist what is causing this and why or if it is normal based on what ive seen on internet its not. I just wanted to throw this out there. I will be using condoms for a while and re starting probiotics and see if there is a change.

Did you happen to have menstrual problems? I have irregularity and my flow is lighter each month. I used to have 5 days with good flow and now I have 2 days with light flow and sometimes dark red or brown blood. I too don't know the source of my PID since everything is negative except my BV. Doctors say BV doesn't cause PID but I think I had my BV for years before discovering it via PCR testing. And I got PID in the meanwhile.

It started when i had a new partner and kept getting treated for BV. The BV would come and go. The whole time i had Ureaplasma/Mycoplasma Hominis. I was treated wrong for a whole year which my new partner gave me. Which he didnt know and neither did i. I just new something was wrong. That bacteria is gone and has been for almost a year now. Ive got tested for it multiple times and so has he. Its just constant BV. Nothing treats it. I always have it no matter what antibiotic i have taken it never gets rid of it. The only one i have not tried is a new one called Solosec which is new. Im waiting once again for the results to come back which i know i have it. Once my gyno calls me im going to ask her if i can try that. The creams i have tried made it much worse then the oral. I actually discussed PID with her she said if i have it i would be running fevers and nauseated. However, i do get nauseated time to time but no fever. I know PID is difficult to diagnose. Im hoping the Fertility Doctor can figure this out. What antibiotics were you on if you dont mind me asking? Im fearful of developing PID since it can happen.

im glad your ok now. I know its a frickin a nightmare. Last year they gave Doxycycline for 14 days for the ureaplasma/mycoplasma which it didnt kill the bacteria so i had to be put on levaquin 2x. Doxycycline made me sick to my stomach. Im just wondering if im so inflamed in there and my body is reacting to it by causing adhesions from having regularly unprotected sex which i had surgery in january to remove an adhesion and they said no endo or pid. I also wonder if i have adhesions inside my uterus due to the ureaplasma/ mycoplasma infection since i had for a year. I never had any issues ever till my new partner. Its frusterating

I had PID and no fever. I would feel slightly feverish, but I didn't get more than 37.5 C. I did get nauseous a lot. Have you tried clindamycin? I've seen kim12266 got cured with it and I did read that some strains of Gardnerella (bacteria causing BV) are resistant to Metro. I tried Metro twice. First time for 7 - 10 days and I was feeling good. After I stopped I felt symptoms coming back. Second time I did 14 days and symptoms didn't get back. But my husband had only 7 days of treatment. Now months later I have symptoms again so I want to ask my doctor for clindamycin. My BV wasn't showing on standard swabs. When I did a PCR for Gardnerella it was positive though. I too did have my original BV with Mycoplasma H. and ureaplasma infection that I treated with doxy.
