Sorry to hear but at least it is getting sorted. Who is her consultant? Do you know what nerve damage they are worried about?

Ok, mine is Mr Buxton so can't help you there. I know it's hard but try not to worry too much until she has had the op and you know more. They can do wonders now. When is the op?

hi richard........ i'm fairly new to all this ....... i went to a specialist for spinal stenosis, but he advised something more important a c5 c6 disc osteophyte and it is compressing the cord... so he advised a fusion. and asap... i'm due is a few weeks.. It's to prevent spinal deterioration - so perhaps thsi is the right way to go - and fast

i have no neck pain....... just 2 small fingers tingle rt hand and some numbness there......... worst at night- in the day it's just in the backgrond.

I have a minor balance prob from time to time and

can be slightly clumsy- writing is a bit scawly.

My real prob is the spinal stenosis- i cannot walk far, or stand... hence off work. and this ' micr surgery- keyhole ' has to wait & the calf burning pain is awful when i stand. i can though sit for hours

Hope you wife goes ok....... i will update when mine is done. i know there are problems in recovery but everyone responds differently
