Hi Debbie. It's difficult I know but TRY not to worry, this does happen sometimes and can just be time of the month plus the dermoid cysts. They're strange things and have particles of hair, nails etc in them. My grandaughter had one removed. It's usually younger women who have them but not always, they can happen to any of us. They'll have you in sooner if it's considered necessary. Try looking them up on this website, ovarian cysts, top of this page. Take care. x

Hi Debbie,
I've had 2 Large Dermoids removed, along with both Ovaries,in the last 4 years. Both times my blood markers were high and I was under a Top Onc/Gyn.Both times I was put in the "Concerned" list and given the possibility of Cancer talk and fast tracked for surgery.Obviously I was worried and couldn't help thinking "what if".But both times the results came back clear
My first one had a 3 inch pointy lump of calcium in and Sebaceous fluid. The second and most recent one had chambers with blood in and a big ball of hair.Really quite gross but fascinating.
Try not to worry too much, mostly these types of Cyst are benign.I was 42 with the first and 46 with the second.
Take care 💖

Relax, worrying is the worst part. My CA level was 84, I just got my 17 cm cyst removed, and I'm still waiting for results. However, my gynecologist oncologist says he seriously doubts it is cancerous, just take it easy. Hope all goes well for you.

I know it's hard. It's too soon to tell, I'm still not even a week post op so I'm still swollen, but I do feel my belly has gone down, They didn't weigh me after so I'm guessing I will find out later. I did lose ten pounds in the final 2 weeks before surgery, not sure if the cyst had anything to do with it seeing as I did eat, and I ate plenty.
