Calf and general leg pain whilst driving?

I had FRHR in early May 2018 and I have been recovering very well since then - and Ive been driving locally since 6 weeks post op. I have had small twinges of pain whilst driving but nothing major until a couple of weeks ago.
I had to drive about 150 miles but stopped a couple of times en route and it wasn't too bad - but the return journey 4 days later was painful and since then even fairly small journeys of approx. 20 miles have also been painful.
Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone have suggestions on what I can do to make driving less painful or more comfortable?

Hi Lydia,
Greetings - sorry to hear this, esp as you did not rush back into driving.
Suggest you seek some advice medically here: hope in all other ways progress is fine.
Warmly
Mic

I started driving at 6 weeks post op too and now, at 12 weeks, I'm still sticking to short hops and no long journeys. From everything I've read it seems to me that although we may have recovered well it take several months for out leg muscles to regain the strength they had before they were attacked by the surgeon's knife! Check it out with you GP for your peace of mind and wait a bit longer before you make any more long trips. Good luck.

I used a cushion as I found the original wound site was rubbed by the car seat.

I forgot when I posted earlier but, like Graham, I used a cushion for a week or two as well. It was more comfortable.
