Calves twitching, eyelid twitching

Hello everyone,

I'm new here but not new to the crap fest that perimenopause is bringing me.

As of late my calves constantly feel like they are twitching or things are crawling under my skin. My left eyelid is at it now so my anxiety is taking its toll. Has anyone experienced this? I've googled and I'm convinced I have a horrible neurological disease. I have an EMG scheduled this week to test nerve function.

I'm day 58 with no period, the longest I've gone.

Hi Brandi. Same here. Started in May. I found my way to this site and some of the threads here were very reassuring. I'm also in the long gaps between periods phase, several months now. The dropping and fluctuating estrogen levels are the supposed culprit of the twitching and crawling. this thought keeps me calm most of the time but i returned to this site tonight after an ill-advised google on the subject. My legs have had an 'active' day, particularly my right knee. Good luck with the nerve tests. Hopefully they will provide some reassurance.

    Hi Brandi,

You're not alone...my right eye was twitching for about 2 weeks off n on, then I had a bleed after nor having one for 2 months. I'm guessing it was hormones dipping that caused it.

I have gotten used to leg spasms, i always think there's a bug on me 🥴

They come n go...i really wish it would all just go n stay gone.

Deep breaths...we'll come out of this tunnel in one piece
