CAM Walker (walking boot) and stairs

Posted , 1 user is following.

I was in a cast for 6 weeks and now transitioned into a walking boot. I am concerned about getting downstairs as my boot is longer than my stairs so I have to put my foot at an angle to fit on the step. I am 50% WB and using one crutch on the stairs. I am a large person so I don't feel that going down on my bum is feasible as I'm not entirely convinced I'll be able to get on the floor and up again without putting pressure on my injured leg.

Would appreciate any advice please! Thanks
