It doesn't matter at what time of the day you take the drug, just make it routine, and the chemical will remain in your system. I started taking the drug first thing, but the side effects were too much for me. I now take my 20mg tablet about 6pm, and this has helped greatly as during the winter I am generally not out late. At weekends it may be 9pm?
If you are committed with your doctor (GP) to take this medication for either or both anxiety and depression, stick with it please. Unfortunately the effects of the drug may make you feel even worse, at the beginning, but in a short period of time the benefits will out way the negative effects.
Normally you need to stick with it for 2 to 4 weeks before you start to feel better. I have been fortunate to be off work for several weeks to allow the drug to normalise in my body. If you cannot do this it will be harder, and you may wish to discuss alternatives with your GP?
Good luck 👍

I took five mg for two weeks and then 10 mg for two weeks and then 15 for two weeks and then finally settled at 20mg. I felt not so good on the day i increased a bit of anxiety I think, but otherwise ok .
Most people benefit from 20 mg and a few from 15 (but not many) that's what my shrink said anyway. So at 10mg very unlikely that it's helping and as Petgab said it does take time to work.
Good luck
