Can a doctor misdiagnose a herpes?

7 days ago I had unprotected sex (I'm on oral contraceptives and he said he was clean) with a guy I went out with. Following this we met again 3 days ago and had unprotected sex but this time it was very rough. I was extremely sore the next day. 2 days later (yesterday) I had difficulty in sitting and walking. My clitoris was painful and I felt like someone was stabbing my vagina. It burned while I went to pee. I assumed it could be trauma due to the rough sexual act or my recurring UTI. I went to a walk-in clinic in the evening, the doctor there had a look at my vagina and said that I have a tiny ulcer and it's Herpes. She prescribed be antivirals as well. I can get the swab test done on Monday, but that is 2 days away. I am worried I may not get an accurate result as I am taking antivirals. Is there any possibility that I am misdiagnosed? I am having white vaginal discharge as well. please help.image

only way to know for sure is to get an igg blood test after 3 months. The photo is out of focus so its a bit hard to tell if this might be anything else.
