Can acid reducing medications cause these side effects?

Posted , 3 users are following.

I have been feeling extremely ill and extremely fatigued constantly for years. I also have terrible IBS symptoms, everything I eat bothers me and I've eliminated a lot of foods too! I'm now on pantoprazole, but have been on nexium, and other PPIs. I tried being on H2 blockers like zantac but I still felt the same way. Is it possible that these medications can make me feel like this? Virtually every other cause has been ruled out.

PPI tablets can stop you absorbing vitamins and vitamin deficiencies can make you feel terrible and have stomach problems. Ask your doctor to get your vitamin levels checked.
