can anxiety cause forgetfulness??

I’ve been noticing lately that i’ve been more forgetful. Also whenever I look at lights, there are spots in my vision that last quite a bit. I’ve had a CT scan of my head and it came back perfectly normal. Could this all be anxiety??

Youre probably forgetful because you are overwhelmed. Thats just the anxiety. Try mimdful meditation. As spots does it ladt for 30 mins follwed by headache? If so look into occular migraine which can be caused by grinding your teeth even at night. Inusually get it when im hungry

Anxiety can absolutely cause forgetfulness.  Many people experience that.   Anxiety, depression, grief, etc can cause forgetfulness.

Anxiety causes brain overload so things are easily forgotten.  But once you calm down and relax your mind, you will notice that this won’t be a problem any longer.

Your test was normal so that is good.

Let your doctor know if it doesn’t clear up.

Eye floaters and anxiety where symptoms of mercury poisoning for me.

Had to have my amalgam removed.

Changed my diet for a while noticed an improvement. Other things are cold baths and deep breathibg to boost the Adrianals. I've done a lot of other things that may help but are shamanistic like kambo and sananga eye drops. When your brain dosnt proses fast enough it leaves you with a center focus vision which makes your spacial awareness weaker so you jump scare easily. My mother has been told she has a detached retina and this is why she has floaters but I think she also has bad dental work.

Hope this helps. I'm no doctor but Ives helped myself more than any doctor has to date.

    Hello Shelby,

Anxiety can indeed cause forgetfulness. If you notice irritability and it's hard to focus or concentrate on something that is too. Stress! Stress effects learning and short term memory.

When I go in the daylight I am sensitive to it, for a long time when I would look up into the sky I would see little "swirls" all over the place. It seems to have remedied, but if I was very tired that would probably be another story. Have you had your vitamin d, potassium, and vitamin b levels checked? Maybe something to look into.

    Best,

    Adrian
